ABOUT HENNING

German born Henning Winkelmann spent his teens in pop culture and Rock’n’Roll. Aside from looking at musical notes, a strong interest in imagery brought him to switch from music into moving images. After receiving a Graphic Design diploma he got hired by Markenfilm, Germany where he went through all aspects of filmmaking. But only when he was asked to become a partner in the company did he realize that he was more interested in the creative aspect of the commercial film world.

That decision brought a swift change to his career. His second directing gig got him into Shots Magazine, his 5th job was a Nike and off he went.

In the course of his career Henning has shot all over the world, he’s very gifted directing children and his baby spots are some of the cutest in the world.

Henning is a proficient editor and often operates the camera as well. His musical sensibilities guide him creating beautiful imagery and dense emotion. Henning is a resident Venice Beach local since 20 years.
